MISSION

Develop its Iron Hills project in a sustainable and innovative way in order to meet the growing needs for high purity 67%+ Fe magnetite concentrate by the steel industry to reduce CO2 emissions, while generating economic, social and environmental value for local communities and stakeholders.

To be a North American leader in the production of high purity 67%+ Fe magnetite concentrate recognized for its commitment to environmental sustainability, collaboration with the Abitibiwinni First Nation and operational excellence.

ENVIRONMENT

TMF – Tailings Management Facilities (“TMF”) conceived as a staged, non-impounded, semi-dry stacked system leveraging natural topography to support discharge a passive dewatering reducing environmental impact. TSM – Committed to the Towards Sustainable Mining (“TSM”) initiative to adopt C02 emission reduction practices. EIA – In depth environmental studies planned: hydrological, hydrogeological and geochemical analysis, soil quality analysis, surface water, groundwater and sediment quality, characterization of the natural environment, including water bodies, wetlands, species with special status and wildflife inventories for certain species.

SOCIAL

 Pikogan – Ongoing dialogue with the Abitibiwinni First Nation, including consultations, co-ownership scenarios and respect for culture and traditional land uses. Wealth – Generation of wealth through the creation of training, jobs and contract opportunities in a strong mining supportive region. H&S – Commitment to the health and safety of employees and surrounding communities.

GOVERNANCE

Compliance with NI 43-101 standards and CIM Best Practices Guidelines. Transparency in communications and strategic decisions. Collaboration with independent engineering firms to ensure technical and economic rigor of the Iron Hills project.
